Join Cherry Circle Room’s wine director Andrew Algren for the second event in his new winemakers series - on Tuesday, April 5, Andrew will be welcoming Thomas Monroe of Division Winemaking Company, one of Oregon’s most exciting new wineries.
A selection of Division wines, including Chenin Blanc, Rosé, Gamay Noir, and Syrah, will be paired with a four course dinner from Cherry Circle Room’s executive chef Pete Coenen. Thomas and Andrew will be discussing the wines and pairings with guests in the intimate setting of Cherry Circle Room - and with just twenty seats available for this dinner, each guest will be able to chat with both the winemaker and sommelier individually over the course of the evening. Tickets are $90 each (not including tax and gratuity), and are available here: http://www.ticketfly.com/event/1139009
Division, founded in 2010 by Thomas and his partner Kate Norris, was inspired by the wineries of Loire, Beaujolais, Burgundy and the Northern Rhone. Recently the winery has been named an "Oregon Winery to Watch" by Wine Press Northwest, and Kate and Tom were mentioned as winemakers to watch in the San Francisco Chronicle article, "All you wanted to know about this year’s Winemakers to Watch.” Division Winemaking Company wines have also been featured by Eric Asimov in The New York Times, and the 2011 Gamay Noir was also the only wine from the United States to win a gold medal at the 2014 International Competition of Gamay in France.
